Robert Lee "Bob" Adams, age 69, of Manchester, TN, formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away May 19, 2006 as a result of a car accident.
Bob was born July 19, 1936 in Aurora, IL, to Lila Scroggins and Lester Sylvester Adams. He attended Naperville High School and North Central College. Bob was united in marriage to Patricia Marie (Wilson) Adams on December 31, 1979.
Bob worked for 23 years as a courier for Naperville School District 203, until he retired in 1997. Bob attended Saints Peter and Paul Church in Naperville, IL, and then joined Saint Mark's Catholic Church in Manchester, TN, where he and his wife made many new friends. Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife, dining out, and visiting with friends and relatives.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Lila Adams; and a son, Scott Adams.
A memorial service was held at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Manchester, TN, where a pavilion is being built and dedicated to the memory of Pat and Bob Adams.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 10 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church for Bob and his wife, Pat, with Father Daniel Stempora officiating. Burial was on June 16, 2006 at the Nashville National Veterans Cemetery in Madison, TN.
