Mr. Kenneth W. Castleberry Jr. age 75, passed away Thursday morning, April 30, 2015 at Lillian Carter Health & Rehab in Plains, Ga. A Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services Rev. William Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to service time burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors. Asked to serve as honorary pallbearers are his special friends; Tony Cox, Logan Felts, Lane Lacy and Ryan Lacey.

Mr. Castleberry was born October 4, 1939 in Smithville, Ga. the son of the late Kenneth W. Castleberry Sr. and Maude Murray Castleberry. He was retired from the US Army serving during the Vietnam era where he obtained several medals including the Purple Heart, was a member of the Fraternal Organization of Purple Heart recipients and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Castleberry is survived by his wife, Sallie E. Castleberry of Leslie, GA a Daughter; Betty Slate of Joplin, MO; two sons; Kenneth Wayne Castleberry of Joplin, MO and Harold Dwayne Castleberry of Seattle, WA; Sister; Carolyn Kimbrell Grantham of Elberton, GA; Three Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Bobby Castleberry (Martha) Johnny Castleberry (Jerri) and Thomas "Huck" Castleberry (Barbara) all of Americus, GA; Four Grandchildren; Madi Castleberry, Myles Castleberry, Mitchell Castleberry and Felicia Rodgers, two Great Grandchildren; Bryson Rodgers and Channing Rodgers and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Castleberry was preceded in death by two brothers; James Samuel "Sammy" Castleberry and Bill Castleberry.
