Memorial service for Sue Powers, 65 of Paradise was April 9 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. David Rucker officiating.

Powers died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Houston.

Born Sept. 7, 1946, in Odessa to Forrest and Marguirite (Jackson) Potteiger, she married Jack Powers Jan. 20, 1978, in Decatur. She was a homemaker.

Powers is survived by her husband; son Chase Gilbert and wife, Cristy, of Decatur; daughter Staci Russell and husband, Wes, of Bridgeport; grandchildren Beck, Baylie, Taylor, Gabbi and Piper; two brothers, Jim Potteiger and wife Carolyn (Puddin) of Bridgeport and Steve Potteiger and wife, Carol, of Sulphur Springs; nieces, nephews and cousins.
