Alfred Blaine was one of many children born to Alfred Constantine Mulanax and Mary Ann Metts Mulanax. His birth date was November 17 on his US Soc Sec Application & Claims Index and Death Certificate (but November 25 on his Draft Registration Cards x 2). His middle name was spelled "Blaine" (taken from his signatures on Draft Registration Cards x 2). He was nicknamed "Boss" later in life.

He married Mary Elizabeth (Bethy or Berthie) Tabor in 1908. They moved from Missouri to Oklahoma, and finally settling in Texas. He worked on farms as a laborer.

They were the parents of at least five children: Bonnie (Barney, a son) (1912-1983), Blondie (1915-1976), Denver (1917-1976), Dail (1921-1952) and Elton (1924-1983).

Alfred and his family lived in Fannin County, Texas in both the 1930 and 1940 Federal censuses, but the family's surname was recorded as "Blaine", not "Mulanax" in 1940.

Alfred became a widower when his wife died in 1943 in Texas. He was living in Petty, Texas at that time.

The U.S. Social Security Application & Claims Index lists that Alfred B. Mulanax applied for a Life Claim for Social Security benefits on December 1, 1950.

On July 15, 1955 Alfred B. Mulanax (age 71 years) married Sylvia E. Rackley (age 57 years) at a Justice of the Peace in Sand Springs, Oklahoma (Record # 24712).

Alfred B. Mulanax died on July 10, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arrangements were under the White Funeral Home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He was buried on July 12, 1957 in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Petty, Texas (Oklahoma Death Certificate # 11801). However, no burial site nor headstone has been able to be located in the cemetery in Summer 2015.)
