Mildred "Middy" Worrell (nee Gerber) of Tabernacle, NJ died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Mount Holly. She was 88. Born in Chatsworth, Mrs Worrell was a lifelong Tabernacle resident. She was School Cafeteria Manager for the Tabernacle School System for many years, retiring in 1976. Mrs Worrell was the oldest living member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Ladies Aide Society. Mrs Worrell is the beloved wife of 70 years of the late Leonard "Pete". She is the loving mother of Lester (Shirleen) Worrell, Joan E Scioli, and Gary (Barbara) Worrell, all of Tabernacle. She is the dear grandmother of Lester Worrell, Jr, Randy Worrell, Kevin Worrell, Sherri Misner, Joseph Scioli and Brian Scioli. She is the great grandmother to 8. She is the dear sister of Irene Abrams of Tabernacle and Vernon "Bucky" Gerber of Pemberton. She is predeceased by 5 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Friday, 11 AM at the Lechner Funeral Home, 24 N. Main St, Medford (609-654-2298). Interment is in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, 7-9 PM and Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service at Lechners'.
