Mr. Robert “Rob” Stanley Eldredge, age 60, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, May 1, 2015.
Robert was born in Abbington, Pennsylvania on January 7, 1955, the son of the late Aline Moore Eldredge and Warren Stanley Eldredge. He was a builder by trade, owning and operating R. K. Enterprise for a number of years. Robert received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication from Southern Illinois University.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Poer Eldredge, step children, Stanley Hulsey of Villa Rica, Georgia and Nicholas Hulsey of Bremen, Georgia; sister, Elizabeth Eldredge-Pitcher, brothers, Peter Eldredge, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, Christopher Eldredge, New York, New York, Stephen Eldredge, Salt Lake City, Utah and Daniel Eldredge, Atlanta, Georgia, several step grandchildren also survive.

In loving memory...

As I sort through some of Rob's papers and files. I wonder if I really knew him. I wonder if I knew him inside and out? I do know he liked to tell a good story and loved jokes.
He saved things - bits of paper, photos, a postcard... you know... stuff! In boxes, files and his brief case. Things that meant a lot to him. He saved newspaper clippings and programs about his high school baseball days in Illinois. Photos of his college days. He still had letters from an old friend, a veteran who served in Vietnam. He kept clippings about favorite fishing spots and photos of places he rode his bike. He had a lot of things about golf, including a book of jokes about the game. Among his things, I found pictures of his parents and family, long gone before we met.
He also loved maps and little notebooks, so full of thoughts and memories, many of which I found in his private possessions. He saved cards and letters from friends and family.
After going through his papers, I think of my husband as a great man, who loved all people with passion, one who treated everyone the same whether rich or poor, young or old, well or sickly, he liked them all. I feel that it is a poorer world to be missing Rob…

A Memorial Service will be conducted Sunday, May 3, 2015, 1p.m. at J. Collins Funeral Home.
