Mrs. Lisa Faye Baxter Howard, age 53, of Carrollton, Kentucky, formerly of Madison entered this life on May 7, 1961 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Howard R. and E. Joan Higgins Baxter. She was raised in Deputy, Indiana and resided for many years in the Madison area. In February 1996 she was united in marriage to Richard D. Tankersley, Jr. in Carrollton, Kentucky. This union was blessed with two daughters, Charity Michelle and Eva Renae. Lisa was employed for several years with the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Madison, Indiana. On Sept. 9, 2005 she was united in marriage to Larry Howard in Carrollton, Kentucky. Lisa had last worked for the Holiday Inn in Madison in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the West Madison United Methodist Church in downtown Madison and Jefferson Post 9 Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, socializing and watching basketball. Lisa was awaiting the birth of her first granddaughter, Kalli Carroll Wright. Lisa died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 5:40 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lisa will be missed by her loving husband of ten years, Larry Howard, Sr. of Carrollton, Kentucky; two daughters, Charity Michelle Wright and her husband, Lindsey of Henry County, Kentucky, Eva Renae Tankersley of Madison, Indiana; her step daughter, Jeanette Adams and her husband, Rodney of Carrollton, Kentucky; two step sons, Larry Howard, Jr. of Carrollton, Kentucky, Courtland Howard of Carrollton, Kentucky; 3-step grandchildren, ; her brother, Dennis Baxter and his wife, Theresa of Madison, Indiana; six uncles and auntss, Ralph and Beverly Higgins of Madison, Indiana, Charles and Donna Higgins of Bloomington, Indiana, Leona Higgins of Madison, Indiana, Caroline and Joe Tevis of Hanover, Indiana, Earl Graham and Jessie Baxter of Deputy, Indiana, Bill and Rosemary Sullivan of Vevay, Indiana; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard R. Baxter, died July 4, 2004, her mother, E. Joan Higgins Baxter, died Jan. 21, 2015, maternal grandparents, Lawrence, Sr. and Edith Faye Saylor Higgins, and paternal grandparents, George and Marjorie Blake Baxter.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Mike Shuler at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.

Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
