James Branham

James Edward Branham, 82, 158 Maple St., Hanover, died yesterday at 2:30 a.m. at his residence.

He was a native of Owen County, Ky., a former employee of Hanover College, and a former employee of the Pearl Packing Co. He was a member of the Long Run Baptist Church in Switzerland County.

Surviving is his wife, Blanche Ritchie Branham; four sons: James and Robert, both of Milton; William, Hanover; and Donald, Midland, Texas; three daughters; Mrs. Esther Lee Wooten, Indianapolis; Mrs. Ruth Gladys Tinker, Fairview, Ind.; and Mrs. Shirley Pickett, Knob Foster, Mo.; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preced in death by seven brothers, five sisters, one daughter, two sons, and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Vail-Hilt Funeral Home, Hanover Chapel, with burial in the Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. tomorrow, and from 9 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday.

James Edward Branham was the son of James Headley Branham and Carrie Laura McDonald. He married #1-Anna Laura Mahoney on August 26, 1925 in Switzerland County, Indiana. He married #2-Blanche Ritchie on April 6, 1933.

Children of James Edward Branham and Anna Laura "Annie" Mahoney:

•1. Gladys Ruth Branham born 19 September 1926 in Worthville, Carroll Co, KY and died 16 January 2005. She married Robert William Tinker on 16 April 1945 in LaGrange, Oldham Co, KY.

•2. Esther Lee Branham born 1927-1928. She married W. T. Wooten.

•3. Infant Branham born 12 January 1930 and died 12 January 1930.

•2. Frances Louise Branham born LIVING

•3. Shirley Branham born LIVING. She was adopted by Tilly and Mary Pickett when she was 5 years of age with the permission of James & Blanche Branham.

•4. James Edward Branham Jr. born 8 October 1935 and died 10 September 1990. He married Aline Wilson.

•5. Robert Lewis Branham born LIVING. He married Helen Miller.

•6. William G. Branham born 3 May 1940 in Switzerland Co, IN and died 23 January 2005 in Madison, Jefferson Co, IN. He married Ruth Sanders.
