Ms. Carey was born on April 9, 1956 in Athens, GA, daughter of the late Jimmie Mitchell Carey & the late Faye Dora Hill Carey. She was a tax professional having worked at CTS Enterprises. Ms. Carey was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church & the National Association of Tax Professionals.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Bray of Bowman, GA & Kerri Lynn Stith of Danielsville, GA; and grandchildren, Gracie Dove & Mickalah Bray. In addition to her parents, Ms. Carey was preceded in death by one sister, Dana LeAnne Carey. Funeral services for Ms. Carey will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Guest officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until funeral hour on Friday morning. The family is at the home of Jon Phillips, 910 McCurley Road, Winterville, GA 30683; & the home of Bonnie & Brian Bray, 172 Seymour Avenue, Bowman, GA 30624.
