W. D. Crozier died Monday morning at a hospital in Alton. Mr. Crozier and family formerly lived in Jefferson County and Mr. Crozier was well known to many people in Mt. Vernon and elsewhere. He lived in the north part of the county. He was about 83 years old.

For the last two years Mr. Crozier had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Faulkner, in Alton. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Dewitt, of Marshall, IL, and one granddaughter, Mrs. W. E. Mooney of this city.

Mr. Crozier was of a social, kindly disposition, and had many friends in Jefferson County, who will learn with regret of his death. The funeral will be held at Dix, Thursday, and burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery near Woodlawn.
