James M. Devaney, age 73, died Friday April 20, 2001. Preceded in death by his parents John E. and Helen Devaney. Survived by his children, Kathy (Tom) Athey, Patti (Jim) Hoffman, John (Sally) Devaney, Terri (David) Aeling; 14 grandchildren; sister Mary Lou (Frank) Kreber; special friend Nancy Meige; adopted children from a former marriage Mindy and Kenny. Former milkman with Bordens and a retired store owner. Navy veteran of WW II and an Army veteran of Korea. Member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW of Whitehall. The family will receive friends at the O'SHAUGHNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 405 E. Town St., Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4383 E. Broad St. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
