Interment will be at the Greenhill Cemetery of Lindsay, OK. The service is under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home of Chickasha, OK.

Ann Linda Lohner was born on May 22, 1947 to Don and Amy Lohner in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She graduated Valedictorian of the class of 1965 from Alex, Oklahoma High School and went on to attend the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the newly named Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in 1968. She met and later married Roddy E. McKenzie of Chickasha. They met at a music lesson taught by a mutual family friend Raymond Culp, the former Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Chickasha. Throughout her life, playing the piano was a passion. Family and friends would gather around the piano and sing old songs of the faith as Ann played the melodies. Truly, there was a song in her heart!

Ann and Roddy married on June 3, 1966 and are the proud parents of two sons, Scott and Jonathan, both of whom were primarily raised in the West Texas town of El Paso. Ann taught second grade in the Ysleta Independent School District of El Paso, Texas for almost 20 years before retiring in 2004 and moving back home to Chickasha in 2005. During her final year of teaching she was named "Teacher of the Year" for the Glen Cove Elementary School. Ann was very active in church music ministry as a pianist and choir member. She also participated in mission programs and Christian education for children in the various Baptist churches she and Roddy attended throughout their 46 years of marriage.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Roddy of Chickasha, son Scott B. McKenzie of Lafayette, LA and his wife Andrea along with two granddaughters Camille and Emmaclaire, and son Jonathan R. McKenzie of Windsor, CO and his wife Barbara along with two grandsons Noah and Sterling. In addition she is survived by sisters Donna Lohner, Nan Weller, Susan Daugherty and husband Bill of Chickasha, sister Janet Bowman of Aurora, CO, and brother Timothy Lohner and his wife Susan of Tampa, FL., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Missions work, ministry to children, spending time with her family and sharing Jesus with others brought joy to her heart.

Memorial contributions may be made to the International Mission’s Fund through the First Baptist Church of Chickasha, OK.
