Ruth Ellen Borror, 86, died Thursday morning, Feb. 28, 2008, after a long bout with cancer. She was born Jan. 17, 1922 to Charles and Lola Mae Adkins. Ruth graduated from Cushing HS and attended business college for her job. She raised a family and worked many years at G.E., Honeywell, and MPI. Ruth received many cash awards in recognition of her outstanding ideas for the Magnetic Tape handlers. Ruth enjoyed dancing and traveling, especially cruises. She also enjoyed playing the piano and the violin. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Don and Billy Adkins, Buddy Slaughter; and 1 grandson, Ryan Davis. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Albert Ross Borror, Jr. They were married on June 2, 1957. She is also survived by 1 sister, Doris Mae Eades and husband Rev. Glen Eades; son, Dwight Tilford Davis, Sr., son, Rick Lynn Borror and wife Brenda Borror; daughter, Robin D. Lindsey; 8 grandsons, Patrick Borror, Larry Lindsey, Jr., Brett Lindsey, Tyler Lindsey, Barron Harris and wife Robyn, Steven Davis and wife Dustee, Dwight Davis, Jr.; 1 granddaughter, Hollie Black and husband Luke; 5 great- grandsons; and 6 great- granddaughters. Ruth commented often that she had a wonderful life and she had no regrets. She is loved by her family and will be missed greatly. Services will be Monday, March 3, 10:00 am at MercerAdams Chapel with interment in Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the OK Medical Research Foundation.
