In the early 60's, Leslie worked for the Dallas Times Herald and took the famous photo of Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald on Nov 22, 1963. Later, he joined the Fort Worth Fire Dept and retired as a Captain, rehabilitating juvenile arsonists. For circumstances unknown, Leslie took his own life on June 23, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Betty Burkes and 2 children Christie Burkes and Julie Burkes of Fort Worth, 4 grandchildren, brothers, sisters, numerous friends and colleagues. He is sorely missed and loved.
