Sarah has been a lifelong resident of the Winfield area where she was a 1958 graduate of Winfield City High School. She worked with Goolsby Insurance Center and M&M Coal Co., and retired from NTN Bower in Hamilton. She was a member of Winfield First Baptist Church and the Canasta Club of Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elwood Jackson and Mary Lee Davis Dodson. Also preceding her were her sisters, Ava South, Beatriss Bromley, Mary Dean Goolsby; and Clara Crawford; a brother, Odis Dodson; and a grandchild, Adam Gann.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, at 2:00 PM from the Winfield First Baptist Church where the body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Visitation will be Thursday evening at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
