Eric D. Pederson age 26, of Spicer formerly of Minneapolis died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 14, 2013. His memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 19, 2013, at East Norway Lake Lutheran Church. A private burial will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
Eric was born in Willmar, Minnesota on March 16, 1987, to Janet Felton and Rick Pederson. He was a graduate of New London Spicer High School in 2005, followed by IPR, Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis in 2007. He lived and worked in Minneapolis for the past 8 years, returning in January 2013, to his home in Spicer to be with his father, who then passed away in February.
Eric was a fine musician and accomplished guitar player and song writer. He had a gift for language and spoke fluent Spanish as well as some Amharic. He was a kind, sensitive and gentle soul and will be remembered for his deep love of family and friends
He is survived by his mother, Janet Felton of Spicer; sister, Angela Felton of Asheville, NC; grandmother, Eleanor Pederson of Spicer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, three grandparents, and two uncles.
