Joanne M. Howell, age 77 of Massillon, died Monday June 2nd. Joanne was born July 24, 1936 in Danville, PA to the late Eugene & Olive (Crawford) Biddle. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. An employee of Massillon City Schools she was a cook at Emerson School. Joanne was a people person and really enjoyed her friends and family. An active member of the Lady Lions. She had a talent with ceramics which she shared with others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Howell (1993); sister, Mary Margaret Bidle and two brothers, Steven Biddle and Ronald Bailey. Joanne is survived by her four children: Gerald (Catherine) Howell, Cindy (Joe) Donovan, Jay (Eryn Hammond) Howell and Greg (Christine) Howell; a brother, Eugene Biddle, five grandchildren and a great grandson; and her companion, David Jennings. Services will be 10 AM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
