Victoria E. Young, 59, of Springfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Heritage Healthcare in Carlinville, Ill.
She was born March 27, 1955, in Springfield, Ill., to Ray William and Geneva (Thompson) Bergschneider. She married Darl E. Young on Nov. 25, 1992, and he survives.
Also surviving are her father, Bill Bergschneider of Springfield; one son, Darl A. (Allison) Young II of Carbondale, Ill.; one grandson, Garrett Speith; two sisters, Sharon (Dave) Howell and Cindy Harris, both of Springfield; one brother, Mike Bergschneider of Springfield; sisters-in-law: Carol Ann (Joseph) Delmanowski of Manteca, Calif., Nancy Klemm of St. Charles, Mo., and Susan (Richard) Deweese of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva, in 1964.
Victoria was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She was an Executive Secretary for the Illinois Department of Revenue for many years. She loved spending time with her family, music, and dancing.
