She retired from Sears Roebuck after 30+ years in sales. She was an avid artist and after high school she was motivated to be self educated and was very literate in many subjects.
She is remembered fondly by many who are children at heart for her loving and giving personality. When her own children were small and she would make a trip to the drive in movies, she would pop a grocery bag full of popcorn and make a few gallons of Kool-Aid to take along with as many neighborhood children she could get in her car. She wasn't afraid to step in on a street fight and break it up, nursing the wounds of the person being attacked. She invited children to stay at her home for overnight camping experiences, complete with blanket tents created out of the clothes lines in her back yard, roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. When there was a party at her house, you could bet it was going to be a good time.
Ada is survived by her daughter Lynn (husband Dewayne) Madden of Centerville Indiana and sons Christopher and William of California and daughter in law Sarah of Nevada.
