CLEARFIELD - Ann Rae Christensen passed away peacefully on April 25, 2015 at the Davis Hospital. She was born December 1, 1945 to Samuel R. and Marie Hatch Christensen, in Boise, Idaho.

She lived in Provo, Layton and Clearfield. She went to school in Clearfield and graduated from Clearfield High in 1964. She attended Weber State (College) University, graduating with a degree in Education. She worked at Layton Drug Store to put herself through college. She started her teaching career at Clinton Elementary, then at Sunset Elementary teaching second grade for 30 years. She retired in 2008.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the British South Mission from 1970 to 1972. She served in many positions, Relief Society teacher and president, librarian, Primary teacher, visiting teacher and compassionate service leader. She belonged to the DUP. She liked to knit and cross stitch. She loved going for rides in the fall to see the leaves colors change and going out to eat at Red Lobster, Maddox and Larry's Spring Chicken in Morgan.

Ann is survived by sisters Pam, Judi Dellis, Joyce (Kelly) VanHooser; her brother Mark (Gwen), several nieces and nephews that she loved and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her mother and father, her younger brother Greg, all her grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 10th Ward, 350 N. Vine Street. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road and at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
