Born: On August 18, 1925 in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late Layton Ernest and Esther Hobbs Reaser.
Personal: She and her husband, Leroy J. "Budd", celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 1, 2005. Dorothy graduated from Wilson High School in 1943 where she played clarinet in the band and orchestra. She also graduated from Churchman's Business College. She retired in 1986 after 40 years from James River Corp. where she had been the assistant to the personnel director for many years. Years ago she worked for CK Williams. Dorothy enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling.
Memberships: She was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ where she was a former choir member, nursery teacher, clarinet player and had been a former Girl Scout leader. Years ago she was a member of the former Girl Reserves.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Budd, she is survived by two daughters, Susanne R. Llewelyn and her husband, Tom of Palmer Township, and Cindy L. Opitz and her husband, Bruce of Nazareth; a sister, Barbara Reis of West Chester; five grandchildren, Meagan Grega M.D., Morgan Llewelyn, Marissa Lattin, Mathew and Jeremy Opitz; and six great grandchildren, Amanda, Keith, Mayanna, Hannah, Emily and Logan. Two brothers, Jack and Harry Reaser and a sister, Blanche Primrose, all died earlier.
Services: Will be in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
