Kathryn L. Ramsey, 86, Amboy, passed away at 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at her residence.
She was born on November 20, 1919 in Wells County to LaVerne and Lette Delora (Twibell) Oden. On March 2, 1938, she married Walter L. Ramsey in Montpelier, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1999.
Ramsey was a member of the Amboy United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Phyllis Kile, Amboy; two daughters-in-law, Linda Ramsey, Kokomo, and Barbara Ramsey, Engelwood, Ohio; brother, Paul Oden, Jonesboro; three sisters, Naomi Brown, Marion, Nina Bowland, Kokomo, and Marietta Barnhart, Bluffton; seven grandchildren, Raymond Ramsey, New Hampshire, Rick Ramsey, Ohio, Teri Stuckey, Ohio, Lori Ramsey, Ohio, Roger Ramsey, Amboy, Tonya Hill, Russiaville, and Sarah Kile, Amboy; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Aside from her husband, Ramsey was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Ramsey and Robert Ramsey; sister, Lucille Thomas; and grandson, Ronald Ramsey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday at Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, with the Reverend David Taylor officiating.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
