Preceding him in death was his parents, his first wife, Martha J. Darling. 2 sons, Peter R. “Rusty” Darling, and Howell C. Darling. He was also preceded by 9 of his siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Ann Smith Darling of Denver, Colorado, two daughters, two daughters-in-law, one sister, thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a large host of other family and friends.
Services will be Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 am at Nashville Funeral Home with Karon Baxley officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 6 to 8 pm.
