Isaac Carter and his first wife, Ruth Kilgore were my 3x great-grandparents through their daughter, Evaline Carter and her husband, James Baldwin Womack.

The son of Turner Carter and Eliza Jenkins, Isaac's birthplace, Caldwell Co., KY is found in his Arkansas Civil War records.

His first wife, Ruth Kilgore's family, the descendants of Col. Benjamin Kilgore were neighbors of the Carters in Kentucky in 1810.

Isaac and Ruth married ca. 1823 in Caldwell Co., KY and their children and spouses were:

E., 2nd Arkansas Cavalry was ordered 1 Jun 1890 from Gross Brothers in Lee, Mass, to be shipped to Witts Springs or Morrilton Co., AR.
