John Hamilton Simmons, Jr. was born Feb. 25, 1907 in Tulsa, Okla., son of John H. Simmons, former Mayor of Tulsa, and Margaret Day Simmons. On Dec. 16, 1937, he married Kathryn Fay.
John passed away Thursday at Bothwell hospital, aged 55 years. He is survived by his wife, one son and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Hugh, who died in 1960. - Sedalia Democrat - Friday, Nov. 23, 1962 pg.5
