Richard Irvin Jeppe, 91, passed away in Baton Rouge, LA on April 26, 2015. He was a long time resident of Memphis, TN and moved to Louisiana in 2000.

Private graveside services will be April 30, at Memorial Park- Memphis, TN.

A loving husband and father, he was born March 23, 1924 in Geneva, OH. He graduated from Spencer High School in Geneva, OH and attended Centenary College in Shreveport, LA.

He served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force, 467th Heavy Bombardment Group, 2nd Air Division of the 8th Air Force, Rackheath Air Force Base, Norwich, England. He was a radio operator on the B-24 Liberator, flying 19 missions without loss of aircraft or crew member.
He was retired from International Harvester in Memphis, TN and was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Millington Lodge #671 in Millington, TN.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald K. Jeppe and Patricia Gant Jeppe of Southaven, MS; daughters and son-in-laws Janice Jeppe Gold and Dr. Richard H. Gold of Baton Rouge, LA, Nancy Jeppe Conner and James Richard Conner of Pocahontas, IL; grandchildren, Ronal K. Jeppe II and his wife, Leslea, Rachel Jeppe Anglin and her husband Gabe Anglin of Southaven, MS; Ryan Nathaniel Hurt of Belleville, IL, Beth Anne Gold of Baton Rouge, LA and Richard Ian Conner of Chicago, IL; and four great-grandchildren, Cody, Simone and Isabella Jeppe and Courtlyn Anglin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Reita Brownlee Jeppe; his parents, Anna and Henry William Jeppe; his sisters, Marie Jeppe Welton and Annabelle Jeppe Phillips; his brothers, Alvin Herbert Jeppe, Harold Henry Jeppe, Gerald Irvin Jeppe, Henry George Jeppe and Edwin Leroy Jeppe.

The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Gahan, the staff at Landmark of Baton Rouge and Life Source of Baton Rouge for their care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Tampa, FL.
