Benjamin Ernest Halboth was the youngest child of Adam Halboth and Barbara Haefner. He was a todler when his parents removed to Sac county Iowa in 1877. Benjamin was educated in the Sac county schools. He married Augusta Lindberg, daughter of Charles Lindberg and Anna Larsdotter, on September 19, 1899 in Stockholm Township, Crawford, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Devellah Chandler Halboth 1900-1923, Adam Halboth 1902 - 1964 and Cuma Viola Halboth 1904-1971. Augusta died in 1905. Benjamin married Myrtle Christensen on April 19, 1911 in Denison, Crawford, Iowa. At the time of his death, he was a widower.
