JACKSON, BURNACE L. - age 70, a resident of Coalfield, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Jackson was born October 18, 1936 in Chevrolet, Kentucky. He has lived in Coalfield since the age of two. Burnace was a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church. He retired from the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge after working twenty-years as a truck driver. Burnace had a great sense of humor and he delighted himself in his ability to tell a tall tale. His greatest pleasure was his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting wild muscadines, Coalfield High School Sports, U. T. Football, and day trips with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Jackson and Ada Riggs Jackson. Survivors: wife of 47 years, Betty Sweeten Jackson of Coalfield; daughter, Kathy Waters and husband Mitch of Clinton; son, Tommy Jackson and wife Mary Rose of Coalfield; grandchildren, Jessica Blalock, Ryan Jackson, Taylen Jackson,
Christopher Waters, Storm Jackson, Blade Jackson; brothers, J.T. Jackson and wife Shelby of Coalfield, Charles "Bit" Jackson and wife Brenda of Coalfield, Ellis Jackson and wife Pam of Knoxville; special friends, Claude Junior Oakes, Kermit Justice, Jackie Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and many special friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 13, 2006 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Middle Creek Baptist Church with funeral services following at 8:00 pm, Rev. Ronald Guthrie and Rev. Mike Beach officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
