Mr. Glen T. Harrison, 86 of Centre, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Cherokee Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 P.M. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Piedmont with Father Macey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Family Crisis Center. Survivors include his wife, Mary Grundy Harrison; sons, William (Linda Powers) Harrison and Steven Harrison both of Carrollton, GA; daughters, Brenda Harrison of Atlanta, GA, Nancy (Thomas) Harrison-Burke of Acworth, GA, Mary K. (Tony Madden) Harrison of Cheyenne, WY and Martha Harrison of Centre; brothers, Donald Harrison of Houston, TX, John Harrison of Greenridge, MO and James Harrison of Morven, NC; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Harrison was a native of Coffee County, the son of the late Leonard and Estelle Clarke Harrison, was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, was a retired electrical engineer with Westinghouse and was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church.
