Gary Daniel Rowland, age 59, of St. Peter, died on Friday, April 10, 2015 at his home in St. Peter.

He was born April 19, 1955, son of the late Jack Coogan & Elizabeth Violet (Toth) Rowland. In his younger days, Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and also belonged to OxBow as well as various other hunting clubs. He had sold insurance for Aflac throughout the state of Wisconsin for many years and was recognized frequently for his many achievements and dedicated hard work. Gary was also a passionate Green Bay Packer fan who patiently waited 29 years to proudly become a season ticket holder.

Survivors include his special friend: Christine Seefeld and their beloved dog: Lacy; his siblings: Jacqueline (Mark) Baker, Tom Rowland and his friend, Janet; a sister-in-law: Bonita Rowland; nieces and nephews: Mark, Christopher & Michelle Baker, Pat (Cindy) Rowland, Kelly (Chad) See; and his great nephews: Brandon & Jesse Hanson, Hunter & Connor Rowland.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Robert “Bob” Rowland.

A time of sharing and commemorating Gary’s life will take place at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2015.
