Mr. Truman Albritton, 78, of Senatobia, MS passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto in Southaven, MS.

Mr. Albritton was born on June 19, 1936 in Shubuta, MS to The Late Cleota Wells Albritton and James Ernest Albritton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS where he was a devoted member of the church choir and men's quartet. Mr. Albritton was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the 82nd Airborne Division. In his early years, he served as the assistant track coach at Mississippi College and as the track coach at Union University in Jackson, TN. Throughout his career in education, he served the Water Valley School System, DeSoto County School System, and the Tate County School System, where he retired as Superintendent of Education. He also served the Mississippi High School Athletics Association for over 30 years as secretary of District 2.

Mr. Albritton is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sue Raley Albritton of Senatobia, MS; two daughters, Shelly Shull (Jeff) of Knoxville, TN and Amanda Sowell (Jason) of Senatobia, MS; one son, Jeff Albritton (Christina) of Senatobia, MS; one sister, Marty Odom of Clinton, MS; one brother, Paul Albritton of Vicksburg, MS; and ten grandchildren, Dakota, Jackson, Kanin, Addi, Baylor, Abbie, Jake, Emilie, Raley, and Lily.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11am in the First Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS. Burial will follow in Senatobia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5-7pm in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 5583 Murray Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, www.diabetes.org/donate or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, www.cancer.org/donate.
