Mrs. Edwards, 69, died at Golden Living Center in Eupora on Friday, April 24. She was
born in Centralia, Illinois, on November 17, 1945, to George Edward and Mildred Fern
Bushong Jolliff, the fifth of six children. While working with her sister, Darlene, at
Sheriden Restaurant, Delores met Hubert Don "Slim" Edwards. They married and
made their home and life together in Don's hometown of French Camp.

Mrs. Edwards was an active member in her community and in Covenant Baptist
Church. She found her strength from her Saviour, Jesus. After 16 years of marriage,
she became a widow. She worked part-time at the French Camp Post Office and later
worked at French Camp Academy, until the fall of 1993, when she suffered a stroke,
losing the use of her right side. "Slow down" was not in her vocabulary, however, and
she continued to enjoy her love of cooking and trying new recipes by cooking for sick
friends and having family and friends over for meals she made for them.

The light of Mrs. Edwards' world was her grandchildren, to whom she passed on her
love of cooking. She was proud to be a great-grandmother and loved to show pictures
of her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by her son, Jason Don Edwards of Brandon; daughter, Lisa
Edwards Henning (Warren) of French Camp; sisters, Darlene Back (Jerry) of Tulsa,
OK, Shelby Conder of Centralia, IL; brothers, Paul Jolliff and Richard Jolliff, both of
Centralia, IL; sister-in-law, Irene Edwards Taylor of French Camp; grandchildren, Taffi
Henning Bennett (Steven) of Winona, Terry Henning of Starkville, and Travis Henning
of Starkville; great-grandson, Cutler Bennett of Winona; ;and several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Don Edwards;
parents, George and Mildred Jolliff; brother, Leroy Jolliff; and several sisters-in-law
and brothers-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Terry Henning, Travis Henning, Ralph Edwards, Greg Scott, Billy
McClurg, and Ben Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Edwards, Ricky Moore,
Pete Thrailkill, and Hank Castle.

Memorial contributions may be made to WFCA, 40 Mecklin Avenue, French Camp, MS
39745, to support their efforts in spreading God's Word.
