Larry D. Wyatt, 62 of Gas City, IN died Sunday morning at Marion General Hospital after a brief illness. Larry was a kind person always willing to help someone else and never knew how to ask anyone for help. He was a giving person involved in the Gas City Masonic Lodge #645, attended Marion First Church of the Nazarene, and was former member of the Fairmount Lions Club, former Cub and Boy Scout leader. Former assistant Cross Country Coach Mississinewa Schools, former soccer, softball, and T-ball coach. Larry used to play in the American Electric Power Basketball League. A 5k runner he ran his last 5k July 4, 2014 and placed 1st for his age group. He was a talented builder, he could do anything. Larry loved Indianapolis Colts and Purdue Football.

Larry graduated from Blackford High School in 1972 and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from American Electric Power after 36 years of service.

Larry was born October 20, 1952 at Hartford City, IN and was the son of the late Wayne W. Wyatt and the late Wanda June (Ricks) Wyatt-Robinson. He married Darlene Cooley, April 29, 1991 at Fowlerton, Indiana and she survives.

Also surviving are his children; David (wife Channel)Wyatt, Marion, IN Matthew (wife Jennifer) Wyatt, Marion, IN daughter, Season Wyatt, West Lafayette, IN Dr. Noel (wife Catina) Ratliff, Marion, IN Nicholas (wife Megan) Crawfordsville, IN. Siblings; Carolyn (husband Jerry) Bell, Portland, IN Roger (wife Marianne) Wyatt, Anderson, IN Randy (wife Kim) Wyatt, Kingsport, TN Nita Jones, Hartford City, IN

11 Grandchildren; Jonathan, Marcus, and Andrew Ratliff, Kyle and Courtney Ratliff, Carter and Maci Wyatt, Will White, Aliza, Kai-lynn, and Aubry Wyatt.

His beloved Pekingese dogs; Snickers and Carmella.

Services for Larry are entrusted to Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana where the family will receive friends Wednesday April 29, 2015 from 4-8 PM with Masonic services by Gas City Masonic Lodge # 645 at 8:00 PM Funeral Service for Larry will Thursday April 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Greg Clark officiating. Interment will be at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, IN with military honors by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Post.
