Penny was born on September 10, 1946 in Danville, IL., to Walter and Harriet (Henderson) Arrasmith. Her childhood was spent in Chrisman, IL. She graduated from Chrisman High School.
Penny married Robert Lynn Campbell on August 27, 1967 in Chrisman. He survives.
She was a member of the Congregational Church of Thawville and a Deaconess of the church. Penny was a school bus driver for 19 years for Roberts, Thawville, Ford Central and Paxton Buckley Loda School Districts. Recently she was head of transportation for the Iroquois Special Education Association before retiring in 2014 after 21 year. She was currently the clerk of the Village of Thawville. Penny was formerly the President of the Thawville Community Nursery School. Also a Girl Scout Leader, Boy Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, Board member of the Illinois Association for Pupil Transportation and volunteer scorekeeper for thousands of her husband's basketball games. She liked flowers, photography and attending her grandchildren's many activities.
