Linda Leake Hartley, 68, of 6003 Horsepasture Price Road, Ridgeway, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

She was born in Price, N.C., on April 25, 1942, to the Rev. Harold C. and Verta Durham Leake. Her parents preceded her in death.

She attended college and became a medical surgical nurse. She retired from Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, where she worked for 25 years.

She was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church for 10 years and was active in Bible Quest and Women's Ministries. Previously, she attended Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church for 25 years.

Surviving are two sisters, Judie Martin of Stoneville, N.C., and Nancy Harolyn Leake Lancaster of Ridgeway and formerly of Greenville, N.C.; and several nephews and other relatives.

Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway.

The family will receive friends today at the church for one hour before the service and other times at the home of Judie Martin, 661 Anglin Mill Road, Stoneville.
