Ray W. Hubbard, a lifelong area resident, died Saturday in Madison General Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Hubbard had been employed at Baker Manufacturing Co. for over 40 years, holding the position of foundry superintendent at the time of his retirement. Born in Evansville Dec. 21, 1883, the son of Frank and Flora Snow Hubbard, he graduated from Evansville High School in 1903, He married Hattie Wallace of Woodstock, Illinois, July 27, 1914, and they marked their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Mr. Hubbard was a member of the Methodist Church and Odd Fellows Lodge, and a former member of the Evansville City Band, volunteer fire department and city council.
