Mrs. Shelby Jean Rogers, 57, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the St. Joe East Hospital in Lexington.
Shelby was born on April 28, 1957 in Carrolton Kentucky to the late James and Eva Taylor Alsip. She was a cashier at Meijer’s, a job that she loved very much. Shelby was full of life and always had a smile.
She is survived by her daughter, Mackenzie Whittamore (Marvin); one brother, Jerry Alsip (Linda); one sister, Janice Johnson; her dog, Bear; special friends, Angelia Lawson & Carolyn Sego.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Dennis Rogers; one brother, Jimmy Alsip; and one sister, Linda Hendershot.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Mathew Harris officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
