Ronald W Carnes, 76, died Friday April 24, 2015 at Mountain Vista Medical Center, Mesa, AZ, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Pueblo Colorado, July 21, 1938 to Miles and Marcella (Staley) Carnes. He moved with his family back to Lennox where his parents started Modern Cleaners. He attended school in Lennox and graduated from Lennox High School..

Ron married Lee Ann Goeman on January 12, 1957.

He worked as the head of maintenance and buildings for the Lennox School System for 38 years. He was a member of the Lennox Volunteer Fire Department for 28 years. Ron's passion with his family has been camping the Black Hills, Yellowstone, and local areas. He and his wife Lee Ann became snowbirds in the fall of 2000 until the present, in the Apache Junction Lost Dutchman resort.

Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years Lee Ann; his 3 children: Denise (Steven) Wallenstein, Brad Carnes, and Nolie (Todd) Brower, all of Sioux Falls; grandchildren: Sara Wallenstein, Amber Wallenstein, Nicholas Brower and Nathan Brower, all of Sioux Falls; siblings: Cortland (Eng) Carnes, Beresford, Karen (Harold) Conklin, Beresford, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother Richard.
