She was born June 6, 1946, in Jacksonville, daughter of Horance and Mildred Watson Garfield. She married Marlin Spencer on April 30, 1967, in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, John D. Spencer of Rock Island and Christopher Allen Spencer of Murrayville; a daughter-in-law, Kelley Spencer of Rock Island; and two brothers, Richard L. Garfield of Murrayville and Ronald S. Garfield of Castleton, Vt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Spencer was a beautician, having worked at the Hair Design Studio and Winter Beauty Salon in Jacksonville. She was a member of the Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Murrayville with burial at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
