Johnnie Bailey HERRIN — Johnnie Keith Bailey,52,of La Porte,Texas, formerly of Herrin,died Friday,Oct.1, 2010,in La Porte,Texas. Johnnie was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry in Texas. He was an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan and,most of all,loved his family. He was born Dec.19,1957, in Herrin to John and Marguerite (Mason) Bailey. Johnnie was united in marriage with Gina Marie Jones on May 30,1998,in Pasadena,Texas.She survives in La Porte,Texas. Survivors include his wife, Gina Bailey of La Porte, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law,Sgt. Johnny Keith and Jeanette Bailey,serving with the U.S. Marine Corps,stationed at Camp Pendleton,29 Palms, Calif.,currently serving in Afghanistan,Thomas Daigle of Texas; stepdaughter, Christy Freeman and her fiancé,James Downhour,of Herrin; stepson,Bobby Donaldson of Orlando,Fla.; two grandsons,Johnnie Keith Bailey and Brody Ray Bailey; six sisters and four brothers-in-law,Irene and Melvin Grady of Jacksonville,Voge Bailey of Roodhouse,Marilin and John Patterson of Herrin, June and Wendell Byers of Willisville,Audrey and Bob Brown of Bush and Patty Crowe of Valley City,N.D.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,Max and Melissa Jones,Paul and Sharon Jones,Rita Spiller and Mary Kay and Scott Hudson,all of Herrin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, JoAnne Eldridge and Janice Moeller; and two brothers, Willard Eugene Bailey and Robert Laverne Bailey. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday,Oct.12,2010,in Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin,with the Rev.Don Colson officiating. Interment will be in Hurricane Cemetery in Carterville.Visitation will be from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the family and will be accepted at Meredith- Waddell Funeral Home,P.O. Box 2071,Herrin,IL 62948. Bailey
