When Freedom was young, the family removed to New Hampshire and Vermont. He married 14 December 1788 at Dummerston, VT, Susanna Kathan, Daughter of Daniel and Ruth Kathan. They moved inthe early 1790's to Ballston Spa, Saratoga county, NY where they lived until circa 1816, after which they removed to Ohio. They Lived in Franklin county and Freedom died in Brown township early 1842 (date of probate of estate). His widow Susanna married 15 April 1847 John Action, in Franklin county.
