Jane Lucille McCoy, 87, died at a retirement center Monday, April 20, 2015, of natural causes. Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jane's life. Jane was born June 21, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in Ann Arbor, Mich., with her parents and brother, Terry. She married Sam McCoy in 1946 and was happily married for 66 years. The McCoys moved with the U.S. Air Force a number of times throughout the U.S. and finally located in Fort Worth. After living the military life for 23 years, Jane and Sam lived out their lives in Fort Worth, where they raised their family, shared their lives with friends and enjoyed 57 cruises to various parts of the world. When Jane was not traveling, she volunteered at a number of hospitals in the Fort Worth area, where she provided caring assistance to those in need, until retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, and her brother, Terry. Survivors: Daughter, Patti and son-in-law, Herb, of Arlington; son, Terry and daughter-in-law, Cindy, of Houston; son, Matt and daughter-in-law, Kathy, of Austin; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
