Edwin Baldwin was born Dec. 9, 1854, at Oakland, Mich., and died at his home in Millen township March 28th, at 4 p.m., from apoplexy. He had resided in Alcona county since 1883, coming here from Gratiot county, Michigan. He was married to Miss Anna Wilber July 10, 1878, in Ionia county, and besides his widow he leaves four sons and two daughters.They are Leonard and Clarence of Millen township, Burt and Vern at home, Mrs Ella Carlon of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Mable Dagenais of Flint.

The funeral was held Tuesday, April 2nd, at 10 a.m. from the home, with Rev. Brown in charge. Interment in Lincoln cemetery.

Comments: Ella Carlon is Elva. Mable Dagenais is Mabel. Burt's name was Elsworth.

PIONEER OF WESTERN ALCONA IS DEAD

Edwin Baldwin Had Made Home in Western Section for 35 years

Edwin Baldwin, one of the best known residents of the Western section of the county, died at his home in Millen Township, Thursday of last week.

Death was caused by apoplexy.

Mr. Baldwin had recently recovered from an attack of smallpox and was an easy prey to the attack of apoplexy with caused his death.

Deceased was born December 9, 1854, and had lived in this county since 1883.

Surviving him are the widow, four sons, Leonard, Clarence, Bert and Vern all of Millen Township, and two daughters, Mrs. Elva Carlon of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Mabel Dagenais of Flint.

The funeral was held from the home Tuesday, Rev. Brown officiating, and the remains interred in the cemetery at Lincoln.
