Kenneth F. Hurt, Sr., 80, was born on September 6, 1934. He passed away on Friday, April 25, 2015. He was retired from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette after over 40 years of faithful service. His favorite recreation was horse racing at Oaklawn.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Hurt of Conway; son, Kenneth F. Hurt, Jr. “Kirk” (Judi) of Little Rock; daughter, Patty Bright of Clinton; brother, J. R. Hurt “Shorty” (Carolyn) of North Little Rock; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Lee Hurt; daughter, Kindra St. Clair; son, Michael Bright and other extended family.

His family would like to express sincere gratitude to Rick Coffman (Denise) for being such a close dedicated friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice Home Care, Little Rock IPU, 2200 South Bowman Rd., Little Rock, AR 72211.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Mayflower Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guestbook at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
