She was a graduate of Mineral Point High School and the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She worked as an administrative assistant at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Plainfield, Illinois.
Sandy was a lover of life, and she had the ability to make everyone around her smile, inside and out. She loved music; she wrote jingles, and in an instant could perform a song on a whim. She enjoyed entertaining so much. When she wasn't rocking the band, she was rocking in her chair. She never missed a chance to be with her family and take over the kitchen. Everyone who met Sandy could see she was special and quickly realized how big of a heart she had, which left a lasting impression on them. She was always laughing and made the days wonderful for all around her. Although she has departed this life much too soon, she will live eternally in our hearts and memory.
She will be deeply missed, yet never forgotten by her many friends and very grateful family, including her husband, Scott Cody; son, Kenton; daughters, Megan and Dana; mother, Mary Alice Moore of Mineral Point; partner, Julie Spadafora; siblings, Terri (Pat) Foley of Boscobel, Mike (Barb) Moore of Sun Prairie, Mary Pat (Dave) Busher of Mount Horeb, and Dennis (Amber) Moore of Verona; special aunt and uncle, Jean and Ross Vivian of Dodgeville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Moore; and her grandparents.
Visitation was on Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday morning, 9 a.m. until services began at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
