Ruby J. Litsey age 75 of Dardanelle died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born March 21, 1939 at Scott County to the late Virgil and Effie Calvert McConnell and Elsie McConnell. She loved to go to yard sales, plant flowers, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Litsey; four brothers, Johnny McConnell, Billy Joe McConnell, Bob Sharp, Cecil Sharp and one sister, Marie Blankenship.
Survivors include one son, Larry Litsey and wife Anita of Port Gibson, Mississippi; six sisters, Sarah White of Ola, January Donnel of Rover, Shirley Judkins of Dardanelle, Chris Cunningham of California, Linda White of Havana, Pam Simpson of Russellville; three brothers, Lonnie McConnell of Cabot, Jim McConnell of Carter Cove, Jerry McConnell of Havana; three grandchildren, Jennifer White and husband Tim of Pottsville, Jessica Blair and husband Guy of Bellefonte, Jason Litsey and wife Kaitlyn of Port Gibson, Mississippi; five great grandchildren, General, Devin, Weston, Emily and Dakota; a special family friend, Mike Baker of Dardanelle.
Funeral service was held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Needmore Cemetery in Casa. Pallbearers were Mark Thone, Ronnie Tucker, Kim Hickey, Chris Manns, Blake Manns and Mike Norris.
