Jane Bottorf was was born March 20, 1848 in Pennsylvania to John W and Elizabeth Bottorf as noted on her death certificate. On her son Frank's, it listed she was born at Flemington, PA, while hers lists Washington Twp. Also, the mother was Elizabeth Michaels, but her death certificate lists another name.

Jane was married to Calvin Chamberlain. Her sister Mary Bottorf married Calvin's brother William. Mary's 1908 obituary mentions Jane as a survivor and her brother Andrew's.

Jane died on April 12, 1909 at Lock Haven, PA. She was 61 years old, married, and lived on Bellefonte Ave. Jane was buried at the Flemington Cemetery on April 14th. The informant on her death certificate was Mrs. James Dickey of Lock Haven.

Mrs. Calvin Chamberlain died at her home in the Barr building, Bellefonte avenue and West Park street, at 10 o’clock Monday morning of a complication of diseases. She had been in ill health for the past 10 years and recently her health began to fall rapidly. Mrs. Chamberlain was a member of St. John’s English Lutheran church and a regular attendant at its services until her health failed.
Deceased was aged 61 years and is survived by her husband, three sons, Charles E., Frank W., and Albert A., all of Buffalo, N.Y. and two daughters, Mrs.James Hickey and Mrs. Harvey Saxton, of this city.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Amos A. Parr in St. John’s Lutheran church at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Interment in the Flemington cemetery.
