Robert E. Himler, IV, 24,of Greensburg, beloved and precious son of Robert and Betsy Johnston Himler, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 after a courageous and valiant fight with cancer. He was born February 17, 1991 in Greensburg. Robert was a very respectful and talented web designer, as well as a successful internet entrepreneur. He was an inspiration to countless people around the world. He graduated from Latrobe High School in 2009 where he was a member of the two time state high school championship hockey team. Roberts proudest moment was graduating and receiving his B.S. from Full Sail University, Orlando, FL, as the class valedictorian, along with receiving the prestigious Advanced Achievement Award. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greensburg. Robert loved life, his family, friends and animals. He was a gifted photographer and enjoyed world travel and exotic cars. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Johnston, and an uncle, Robert Johnston. In addition to his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Jane Johnston of West Mifflin, paternal grandparents Robert and Margaret Himler of Latrobe, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved pets, Crosby and Colby, and his panthers, Razzi and Tessa. His faith in Jesus Christ was an inspiration to all. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding." (Proverbs 3:5) Roberts friends and family will gather together Sunday from 6-8:00PM at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel, Inc., 144 East Main Street, Ligonier, PA 15658. A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday at 10:00AM at the Fort Palmer Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Route 711 North, Ligonier with the Rev. Dr. J. Paul McCracken officiating. Private entombment will be in St. Clair Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Robert's memory to your local Humane Society.
