Ernest C. Fisher, 91, Clifty Road, Somerset, died Thursday, January 25, 2001, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

A Pulaski County native, he was born November 19, 1909, son of the late Otto and Lizzie Robinson Fisher. He was a retired bookkeeper for Shell Oil Company. He was also a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as treasurer for 30 years and as deacon.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy (and Cheryl) Fisher, Somerset; two daughters, Doris Ann (and Eddie) Edwards and Sheila (and Rocky) Farmer, both of Somerset; a brother, Fred Fisher, Bowling Green; a sister, Eva (and Zenas) Eubank of Eubank; seven grandchildren, Suzanna (and Alan) Strunk, Lexington, Amy (and Steve) Parrott, Marylee (and Greg) Gover, Leanne (and Mike) Blount, and Misty (and Jason) Baker, all of Somerset, and Andy (and Robin) Fisher and Ricky (and Kelli) Farmer, both of Louisville; and ten great-grandchildren, Ingrid, Wesley and Clark Strunk, Joshua, Ashley, and Addy Parrott, Morgan and Taylor Gover, and Kelli and Chris Blount.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Fitzpatrick Fisher, whom he married December 14, 1935; his parents; two brothers, Roy and Cecil "Pete" Fisher; and two sisters, Levida Fisher and Beulah Dykes.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with the Revs. C.E. Jacobs and Larry O'Bryan officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
