Jennie Lee Davis age, 80 of Mondamin, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Jesse J. and Angelina (Matrie) Duthrie, Sr. She was united in marriage to her husband, Jerald Davis, on September 2, 1983. She had worked for Safeway in Council Bluffs, Iowa, for many years in the bakery department as a cake decorator, on many occasions decorating cakes for major politicians in the upper Midwest running for Presidential and Gubernatorial positions, amongst many other special events. She had also been employed in the Council Bluffs, Iowa, public school system in the cafeteria department.
Her special enjoyment was watching her children and grandchildren grow up through the years, coming over for Holiday meals and 4th of July fireworks, and cooking up some of her special Italian meals of spaghetti, lasagna, and fried chicken.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Jesse Duthrie, sister: Maryann Coomes, grandson: Matthew Mueller, great grandson: Jordan Vaagen, daughter in law: Kristi Bonnichsen.
